Marguerite E. Taylor Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Military Logistics
Ms. Taylor was named a Professional of the Year in Military Logistics
Lorton, VA, September 19, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Marguerite Taylor has been recognized by the Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in deployment and mobilization processes.
As a Transportation Planner for the Headquarters, Department of the Army Staff in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Marguerite is responsible for strategic mobility, deployment and redeployment processes, policy and doctrine. With over 20 year of service as both a federal employee and a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, she attributes her success to her commitment to serving others.
Ms. Taylor has a Bachelor's Degree from Lincoln University (MO) and received a Master's Degree in Management with a concentration in Logistics from the Florida Institute of Technology. Marguerite recently completed the 2010-2011 Fellows program with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and Material Readiness working in the offices of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Transportation Policy and Supply Chain Integration. As a member of the U.S Army Reserves, Marguerite serves as a Lieutenant Colonel assigned to the Headquarters, Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics as a Multi-functional Logistician. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, the National Defense Transportation Association (Washington, D.C. chapter) and a supporter of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Ms. Taylor's professional goals include attaining a Senior Executive Service position within the federal government.
