SOMERSET, NJ, September 02, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Kenneth Schiff, Proprietor of Quality Risk Management Associates, LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in quality assurance and risk management.
Mr. Schiff has amassed more than two decades of professional experience, and throughout his career, he has built an expansive skill set in the area of quality assurance, quality risk management, regulatory compliance, and research and development. In his position as a consultant and authority on medical affairs, drug safety and regulatory compliance, he implements quality assurance and quality risk management concepts to improve overall quality and enhance patient safety, transforms traditional auditing methods by spearheading innovative quality risk management concepts and compliance systems, and drives new governance and control standards that help business partners proactively identify, manage and mitigate risk. He collaborates closely with clinical research and safety personnel and works with business partners and regulators. He creates an environment that promotes risk awareness and fosters proactive risk management, transparency and continuous process improvement.
Mr. Schiff was recruited by Hoffmann LaRoche, Inc. in 2006 as the head of quality assurance, in which capacity he managed the company's activities in the Americas. In 2008, he joined Hoffman LaRoche's quality risk management group, where his responsibilities have included transforming quality management concepts to improve overall quality and compliance needs and fostering a culture of continuous process improvement, proactive risk management and transparency within the organization. His achievements have included elevating risk awareness, increasing efficiencies and standardizing procedures in drug development through the use of lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Prior to joining Hoffmann LaRoche, Inc., Mr. Schiff started his pharmaceutical career in clinical quality assurance at Merck & Co. Inc. in 1990. Nine years later, he became the company's manager of worldwide clinical quality assurance. He was responsible for auditing, risk management, GCP compliance and education, and more.
An active member of the Clinical Trial Transformation Initiative, DIA QRM SIAC and PhRMA BioResearch Monitoring Committee representing the GCP Working Group, Mr. Schiff has also worked closely with other pharmaceutical colleagues and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on the BIMO Modernization and Critical Path Initiatives with particular focus on quality management systems and quality by design. He has received numerous awards for operational excellence and is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He holds a master's degree in biopharmaceutical innovation and entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences and premedical studies from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
