Kay de Kanter Named a VIP of the Year for Excellence in Logistics
Kay de Kanter specializes in running restaurant chains from the distribution side
LOS ANGELES, CA, August 2, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Kay de Kanter, Retired Manager of Procurement Logistics for California Pizza Kitchen, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in logistics.
Ms. de Kanter recently retired from her position as manager of procurement logistics for California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. Her role entailed focusing on developing, maintaining, and managing relationships with vendors, store management teams, and internal upper management professionals. She also worked with distributors. With a total of 23 years of professional experience, she specializes in running restaurant chains from the distribution side. In recognition of her work, she was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional goals. Ms. de Kanter believes that her success would not have been possible without the support she received, along the way, from her parents, family and friends.
Born in Germany, Ms. de Kanter spent most of her youth in Europe due to her father's occupation. Having spent her first 22 years living in various European countries, she speaks German, French, Spanish and some Italian. She attended high school and the University of Maryland in Spain, and then began working at Moron AFB in Sevilla, Spain while attending the University of Maryland overseas program. After moving to the U.S., she earned a Bachelor of Secretarial Science. She spent 18 years as an employee of Meadowbrook Meat Corp in North Carolina before joining California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. In the years to come, Ms. de Kanter plans to enjoy her retirement and some travel.
