Mr. Rose, U.S. military veteran and retired veterans employment representative, owns a successful milking cow farm
ATTICA, NY, July 6, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Robert J. Rose, Farmer and Owner of Rose Farms, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in farming and veteran counseling.
After retiring from successful careers in the military and with the New York Department of Labor, Mr. Rose decided to focus his efforts on managing a milking cow farm. As the owner of Rose Farms in Attica, N.Y., he is as much invested in the educational element of his work as in the production of dairy products. He runs a petting zoo and offers tours, educating visitors about cows and the milk industry. In the future, he plans to continue maintaining his farm and teaching about cows at local events.
Mr. Rose was recruited to the U.S. Navy at Guilford College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1964. He served four years of active duty in the Navy and twenty-five years as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, finally retiring in 1993. While in the reserves, Mr. Rose assumed the position of a Veterans Employment Representative with the New York State Department of Labor. In this role, he helped veterans find suitable employment after leaving the military. He also functioned as a counselor for veterans, providing support and offering them hope. Mr. Rose served in this capacity for thirty-three years and was named the Top Veterans Representative in 2005.
An honored VIP member of Cambridge Who's Who, Mr. Rose attributes his success to his religious faith, luck and perseverance. In his spare time, he enjoys showing his antique vehicles at local car shows; he owns a 1929 Model A Ford and a 1968 Triumph TR 250, both of which are extremely rare automobiles.
