Larry Dragan Honored for Excellence in Assisted Living Facility Operations
Mr. Dragan previously worked for the county and city of Denver for 23 years
GALLUP, NM, July 26, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Larry Dragan, Assistant Manager for the Ford Canyon Senior Center, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in assisted living facility management.
Following a 23-year career in finance, Mr. Dragan felt that he needed a change in career and location. He moved to Gallup, N.M., and pursued employment at the Ford Canyon Senior Center. Within six years, he advanced to his current position as the assistant manager for the facility. His responsibilities include scheduling meals for homebound residents, planning activities for the residents, answering the telephones and creating menus.
Prior to joining Ford Canyon Senior Center, Mr. Dragan worked as the finance director of the fire department of the city and county of Denver, Colo. Twice during his time there he participated in the installation of new financial systems.
In 1975, Mr. Dragan earned a master's degree in health administration from Washington University in St. Louis. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in zoology from the University of Arizona. Mr. Dragan enjoys target shooting in his spare time, and is a member of National Rifle Association. In two years, he intends to progress to a manager position.
