Joy A. Seaman Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Handcrafted Scrapbooks

LAS VEGAS, NV, July 26, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Joy A. Seaman, Owner of Dreams and Things by Design, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in specialty product development.
A creative and crafty entrepreneur, Joy A. Seaman has been in the business of designing custom wedding and baby albums for the past 15 years. She explains the humble beginnings of Dreams and Things by Design on her website, http://www.dreamsandthingsby design.com. "The idea for my business started in 1995. My older brother was getting married and I wanted to make something special for [he] and his bride, so I went to the fabric store and saw a pattern for a covered wedding album. [I bought it], brought it home and made the album. I liked it so much [that] I threw the pattern away and started designing my own albums."
Having managed a bridal shop for 12 years, Joy gained an extensive working knowledge of the wedding industry—experience that would serve as the guiding force behind her album design business. Since establishing Dreams and Things by Design, Joy has worked with couples the world over to create one of a kind wedding scrapbooks and albums. She works closely with each of her clients to make items that match a couple's particular style or to reflect their wedding theme. Customers are welcome to contact Joy regarding custom orders and color requests, as well as design ideas and trims. In addition to albums, Joy hand crafts wedding accessories such as CD cases, money boxes, certificate holders, ring pillows and video cases. Her baby-related items are just as lovely - scrapbooks, brag books and bottle holders are all adorned with delicate baby prints that reflect the uniqueness of each child. Says Joy of her work, "I feel [that] if something is handmade, it is given from the heart and has a lot more meaning than [when something is] store bought."
Joy completed coursework in computer studies as well as in design and handicrafts. In addition to her induction into the Cambridge Who's Who registry, she was selected for inclusion in the Standford Who's Who Black Book for the 2009/2010 year. She looks forward to expanding on the designs offered by her business in the coming years and intends to become a nationally-recognized craft designer.
