Mr. Denis has 40 years of experience as a consultant and in the public sector, with a particular expertise in recent years in world food and feed grain markets. Mr. Denis has served as the Executive Director of the International Grains Council, monitoring international grain trade agreements and food aid conventions, attending conferences with government and industry leaders, analysing the global supply and demand situation in food and feed grain markets, and promoting measures to enhance the food security of developing countries.
While in the public sector, he contributed to the establishment of the World Trade Organization to support the open, fair and stable trading framework essential for the growth and the realization of sustainable development opportunities around the world.
Mr. Denis earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sherbrooke, followed by a Master of Public Administration from Laval University. He has been affiliated with several organizations, including Boston University's African Presidential Archives and Research Center, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the World Trade Law Association, the British Branch of the International Law Association, and the Institute of Directors for the International Food and Agribusiness Management Association.
