Kate Swann attributes her success to having great mentors and a willingness to take risks
NEW YORK, NY, June 22, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Kate M. Swann, Chief Operating Officer at Frog Design Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in team management.
While pursuing graduate schooling at New York University, Ms. Swann was exposed to a large amount of new technology and became intrigued by the impact of this technology on society. She was also captivated by the opportunities from a technical perspective; digital consulting was just beginning to become an option and the timing was perfect for a technology-oriented career.
At Frog Design Inc., Ms. Swann manages teams in a creative environment and maintains the balance between creativity and profitability. As part of the executive team. she develops growth strategies for the company. She is also responsible for identifying and cultivating the processes, philosophies, and infrastructure that support effective design, and ensuring client satisfaction and operational success.
Previous employers include Avalanche, an early interactive design agency; Organic, a design consultancy whose New York office grew from 20 to 300 employees during her tenure; and Fry, an e-commerce consultancy where she worked with clients such as Godiva and Graco Children's Products, Ms. Swann attributes her success to having great mentors and a willingness to take risks.
Ms. Swann earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from The Evergreen State College, followed by a Master of Arts in performance studies from New York University. In the coming years, she hopes to take the company to the next level, while still maintaining its creativity.
