Patricia R. Wilcox Receives Top Honor as Professional of the Year in Fine Arts
Patricia Wilcox, an accomplished textile designer and engraver, evinces a versatile style in her painting
GREENVILLE, SC, May 23, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Patricia Riddle Wilcox, Owner of Riddle Creatives, Ltd., has been named Professional of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fine arts.
In order for an artist to be successful, she must be talented, driven, confident and inspired. Ms. Wilcox not only possesses these qualities, but she is also a leader, which has allowed her to mentor young artists who seek to be successful. Throughout her 40-year career, Ms. Wilcox has traveled the world and worked in the engraving field, using high speed gravure presses, flexographic printing, textile flat and rotary screen printing. She creates wall coverings, gift-wraps, and packaging, and performs textile work for commercial printing, and also is a talented painter. Ms. Wilcox has received more than 85 awards, including a Golden Cylinder award from The Gravure Association of America, Inc., an award for the Most Difficult Engraving and Design Executed, and a Fine Arts Award.
For the past seven years, Ms. Wilcox has operated her own studio, Riddle Creatives, Ltd., in the heart of Greenville, featuring her original landscape, figure, still life and abstract paintings. Working in watercolor, acrylics, oils, and casein, she is known for her skill with color. Ms. Wilcox holds an associate degree in graphic design from Clemson University and studied interior design at Greenville Technical College. A member of several guilds and galleries, she showcases a commitment to heightening the skill level of her craft. In addition, she has recently branched out into a new area of art: writing. She hopes to publish a novel in the coming years.
