FLEMING ISLAND, FL, December 28, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Rev. Donald M. Hackbardt ("Hacky"), CEO/Executive Director of God's Word to the Nations Mission Society, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership, and excellence in Bible translation, effective communication, and outreach strategies.

With nearly 20 years of experience as the CEO/Executive Director of God's Word to the Nations Mission Society, Rev. Hackbardt oversees the administrative, public relations, Bible-editorial, and outreach functions of the organization. He typically speaks to groups that range from 30 to 4,000 people, traveling and speaking to both secular and religious organizations about effective communication, and to religious groups regarding the biblical outreach strategy: "Become A Seed Planter and Change Lives." He also receives invitations to speak to a variety of groups outside the church about the importance of "The Endless Challenge: Effective Communication," inasmuch as the topic relates to both success in communicating God's mission, as well as success in the business world. The highlight of his career was leading a project that ultimately produced "GOD'S WORD ," an exceptional new translation of God's saving, life-changing message that uses clear, natural English and not "theological jargon." Prior to entering the seminary in late 1982, Rev. Hackbardt was one of IBM's leading salespeople, specializing in the area of manufacturing, shop floor, and CAD/CAM applications. He was a three-time recipient of top sales awards during his eight years with IBM and left a lucrative executive path to serve his great God and Savior.

Rev. Hackbardt received a Master's Degree in Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in 1986 and a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Political Science, and Sociology from The University of Michigan in 1973 prior to joining IBM. During the course of his leadership of the mission society, which began in 1992, he also completed training in Negotiating Your Success through James Hennig and Karass in 2000 and 1999 respectively, Growing Your Church through Outreach and Assimilation in 1999, and the prestigious Born To Win Program and Personal Coaching Program conducted by Zig Ziglar in 1999. In 1996-1997 he also attended various courses offered by the National Planned Giving Institute. Interestingly, Rev. Hackbardt is also a licensed Realtor and handles the promotion and marketing functions of his wife Linda's successful real estate business in Jacksonville, FL. He served in the U.S. Army from early 1967 to late 1969.

In an interview with Cambridge Publishing, Rev. Hackbardt stated that he attributes his success to the tremendous confidence and talent that God has given him, his trusted leadership, decision-making and management skills; as well as his vision, integrity, and exceptional verbal and written communication and relational skills.

Rev. Hackbardt was born in 1947 in Highland, MI and married his wife, Linda, in 1970 following his return from a tour of duty in Asia and the completion of her competition in The Miss Michigan Pageant. They are blessed with two wonderful adult sons and a grandson.
