In 1968, Ms. Rye's father established Columbia Wholesale Company Inc., a trusted distributor and manufacturer of building and roofing materials. Since the company's inception, it has grown to serve clients in S.C., N.C. and Ga. Ms. Rye assumed the position of company Vice President in 1999 and then the role of President in 2008. She is skilled in the management of Columbia Wholesale Company's 19 employees, and enjoys conducting meetings to discuss products and inventory, handling purchasing with vendors and communicating with customers. She attributes her success to her upbringing and employees, as well as the support of her community.
Ms. Rye holds a Bachelor of Arts in behavioral science and a certification in social work. She retains affiliations with the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia, Green Building Council of Greater Columbia, Remodelers Council in Columbia and Southern Building Material Association. Looking toward the future, Ms. Rye intends to experience continued growth in her current capacity. She also aspires to offer more products, attain additional building space and expand her company.
