Kimberley J. Proctor Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Mining Operations
Ms. Proctor manages a new business development project for HudBay Minerals Inc.
FLIN FLON, MB, November 28, 2011 /Management PR News/ -- Kimberley Proctor, Project Manager for HudBay Minerals Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mining operations.
As a Project Manager for HudBay Minerals Inc., a position that she has held for three years, Ms. Proctor is responsible for managing a new business development project from inception to commissioning. Currently she is the Project Manager of a $704 million dollar project called "Lalor" which includes construction of a new underground mine, new concentrator and expansion of an existing tailings facility.
Ms. Proctor has been with HudBay Minerals Inc. for 23 years and has held more than 14 different positions within the company. She attributes her success to taking advantage of career opportunities and passion for her work. She has always been interested in the mining industry, even as a young girl; her family often vacationed in regions that supported mining operations.
Ms. Proctor received a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology/Archaeology from Brandon University. She is also a graduate of the Management Development Program of Stellenbosch University. She is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists, both in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In years to come, Ms. Proctor hopes to move into a more senior role within the mining industry.
