As a stay-at-home mom, Ms. Rooney started Monmouth Beach Plantation Shutters and Blinds LLC 10 years ago. She has now gained experience in marketing and selling window treatments, and has taken her business to a new level. With a background in customer service, she is the sole point of contact from the first phone conversation to the in-home consultation to the measurement of windows. Ordering from a small high-end American factory, Ms. Rooney helps customers meet and select their style and color of plantation shutters and blinds.
In 1982, Ms. Rooney earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from York College of Pennsylvania, and is pursuing Hunter Douglas Installation Certification. Looking ahead, she will continue to grow her company and train more people in her philosophy of customer service.
